ラーメン博物館 in English

いよいよ夏本番、猛暑が続いてますね。

ちょっと避暑に新横浜にあるラーメン博物館に行ってきました。
正直言うとラーメン食うのに入館料300円だし、
なかでもラーメン、それなりに高いのですがたまには良いと思います。

ラーメン博物館も日本語パンフレットに加え、
英語版・ハングル版・中国語版がおいてありました。

ぱっと見た感じでも中国人の方が結構いたのではと感じます。

ラーメン食べ歩きと称して、ミニラーメンを2店舗で食べましたが
2杯もラーメンは最近食える体ではなくなってきました…
あと、やっぱり濃いラーメンが最近多すぎるような…

英語版のパンフレットは日本版より薄いですが、
より一般的な説明がされていました。

•・When ?
The Ramen Museum was established in 1994.
It was the first food amusement park
to be created anywhere in the world.
日本で最初のフードテーマパークらしいです。
私は全国各地のものを集めてしまうのはあまり好きではないですね。

・Who and Where?
Yoji Iwaoka, the founder of the Ramen Museum, was born and brought up in Shin-yokohama. He feels strong attachments to his town. He founded the museum to contribute to the development of the neighborhood by pursuing his passion in life―ramen.

– Ramen Museum is divided into two themes area, a ramen restaurant mall and a 1:1 replica of a section of Tokyo in the year Showa 33 (1958).

Souvenirs shop, exhibitions of ramen culture and history (in Japanese language only)
ラーメン博物館は昭和のレトロな雰囲気で造っていますが、
これは良いと思います。外国人の方もきっと喜ぶでしょう。
館内にいた似顔絵師さんは空いている時間に英語の勉強をしていました！！

• How and why?
– How did we select the ramen restaurants for the museum? Most of the restaurants in the museum are long established institutions from different regions across Japan.
“Ryushanhai,” for example, was run by the same family for three generations (50years) in Yamagata
With in the museum, you can enjoy the delicious tastes of traditional, famous ramens from many localities under one roof?
– Why did we reproduce the year Showa 33 (1958) ?
The mood from the good old days of Showa fills visitor with nostalgia and an appetite to taste ramen. And importantly, instant noodles were invented in 1958. The invention transformed Japan into a nation of ramen connoisseurs.

日本のカップラーメンは世界に誇れますよね。
そして日本人はラーメン好きな方が多く、確かにラーメンは
日本の文化の一つになっていると思います。

外国人の方にはやはり日本のラーメンを試して欲しいと思いますね。
ただいっぱいありすぎて、どれを紹介すれば良いのか1回では伝え切れないですね。

個人的には二郎ラーメンをどう思うか聞いてみたい。
