江ノ島 in English

お盆休みを利用して江ノ島に行ってきました。
私はもともと関西人なので、江ノ島はサザンの歌とか
そんなレベルでしか知らなかったのですが、
現在は神奈川県民、小田急線で結構近かったです。

最近は観光地に行くと必ず英語版のパンフレットを確認しています。

パンフレットを読むことで英語の勉強になるし、
知識も増えるのでオススメです。

江ノ島は私の想像よりも結構小さな島でした。
でも弁天様の神社があり、龍神的な祭り神があり、
そして食べ物では海の幸やシラスが有名で1日遊ぶのに
十分なトピックが詰められていると思います。

また海水浴場やサーファーもたくさんいましたよ。

では江ノ島の紹介英語です。

Enoshima

In the Enoshima lwaya Caves, which were formed through ages of ocean water erosion, the history and culture of Enoshima are introduced through a panel exhibition. Stone structures left behind from the Edo Period will transport you to a world of the subtle and profound.
Enoshima Beach extends over five kilometers to the east and west of the shore facing the island, and is often referred to as the “Miami Beach of the East.” The beach has been
one of the most popular swimming spots in Japan since the old days, and it remains a popular place in the Shonan region to enjoy all kinds of marine sports.

あとシラスの英語が気になったので調べると
white baitらしいです。baitって「餌」って意味です！

新江ノ島水族館にも行ったのですが、
さすがにお盆は人が多すぎてあまり楽しめませんでした。
水族館は人が少ない時にいったほうが良いですね。

イルカショーを見たのですが、先日海外のニュースで
日本の水族館（美ら海水族館）でのイルカが飛び出す映像を
見てしまい個人的には楽しめませんでした。
